coolant temps in relation to BLM's

Would like to know if there is any relation and if so what to possibly look at.....While driving today I was studying the patterns between my coolant temps and BLM's on my scanmaster and found that below 180 on my gauge my car was sitting right around 126-128 on the blm's although once the temps increase to 180 to 190 the car's blm's slowly increased to the range 130-137. Could it be my collant temp sensor or what other possibility be if there is any relation to the 2. Thanks guys.
