The '87 OEM rubber brake hose, where it connects to the front calipers, uses copper flat washers under the banjo bolt to make a seal.
If you look closely at the original, there are maybe 5-6 narrow concentric ridges machined into the caliper and also the banjo end, to bite into the copper gasket and make a tight seal.
I was about to install aftermarket stainless braided hose, and its banjo end (a separate piece with a 3AN tube flare) does NOT have these small concentric ridges.
Have any of you had problems with leaking or seeping brake fluid on these aftermarket banjo ends?
