It's past time for new upholstery in my WE4 and I'm looking for the correct stuff. I've been running generic slip on covers but I'm tired of them now and I am ready to get back to the factory look. I saw some of G-Body's stuff at Richard's place back in the spring. His door panels looked good but the seat upholstery was not right. The color of the cloth was a few shades off from a swatch I took from a hidden spot on a seat back. I could live with that because all of the seats would match when covered. What I couldn't accept though was the piping color. The piping is supposed to be darker than the seat cloth but these were noticeably lighter that the already lighter covers. When talking with Brian he said that all of the covers were that way. From what I understand there is only about 2 true manufacture's, PUI which I believe makes the ones Brian sells and Jax's (maybe). Anybody know if the other covers are right or if PUI has corrected their's yet? I heard Highway Star's had the other covers but they are closed until after the first of the year. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks

Cobra, Now these look right. The piping is a darker, almost bluish smoke gray. Did you do those and where did they come from? What I'm looking for is someone who has experience with the actual covers. Looking at your links above, the first two are PUI. The ad photos look right but G-body's ad looks right too but the product I actually had in my hand was not right. They had a very light gray piping. The third ad seemed to be another company other than PUI but looking at their ad photo the piping looks like the same light color piping that was on the one Brian had.
It's so hard to tell by stock ad photos and when dealing with mail order I rather be sure to get the right one the first time.

You can try locating donor material usually from the upper seat covers. That can be used to fix rip and worn sections from the bottom seat cushions. Most upholstery shops can replace the worn panels.
