Keeping stock hood though I ran across a GN owner that stated temps reduced with use of 4 inch Cowl fiberglass hood // any feedback effects on engine heat air flow temperature etc. separate question regarding kenne bell air to air thanks
 
Old trik: Remove the cowl seal, and cut/reform it, to seal only the heater/ac intake screen.
That cowl hood would look like fido'sazz....:eek: [IMO, that is!:D]
 
At the base of the windsheild is a high pressure area aerodynamically. The idea of using a cowl hood is to help get clean fresh air to the induction system. You could do just as well by putting a couple of vents in the hood on top or going with the GNX fendor vents.
