Haven't taken my new combo to the track yet, but at 18# on the street, the 66 spools instantly, hits hard, and runs like a beast. Runs circles around my old te44 combo that went 11.70's at 25#.

I went to an 1/8th mile track on Saturday and ran a 7.2 @ 109 with a 2800 converter. I didn't have time to put the 3200 in and figured what the hell I'll try it anyway.

My 60ft. was horrible at 1.9/2.0 and was so bad people thought I was hitting the NO2 at the 100ft. mark.

Around the 100ft. mark it hit the boost hard and took off like a rocket going from 10lbs. to 24 lbs. in a blink of an eye.

I think I'll pick up at least 1/2 a second when I put the 3200 converter in and go to the track again.

I should be able to get a 6.8 in the 1/8 and 10.50's in the quarter.

If you went 109mph in the eighth you should be running 6.40 in the eighth. Like .8 seconds in the eighth and 1.25 seconds in the quarter

That would be great if I go that fast. Having a shitty 60ft. and high mph with low ET makes calculating what a would/could or should be in the future is impossible for me as I suck at that kind of math.

I'd guess 620-640 rwhp. That mph is flying for the 8th.
It's more than that. I never got close to that with the little compressor cover. Boost would drop off over 5500rpm it would back half like a turd.

I haven't fallen off in boost at all and I'm shifting at 5800.

Why would it act like that on your motor and run like ten good men on mine???

Could it be because the W/G hole is ported on mine and yours wasn't???

I'm curious why it runs so well on this car.

6.40 in the 1/8th should be 9.95-10.05 range in the 1/4...

That's not gonna happen as it felt strong but not high nine strong.

On a good day with all the stars lined up perfect it might have a 10.25/30 but more than likely around 10.35/40 is the best I could hope to get out of it.

On that run it was in the mid to low 50's around 10 pm so that may be why it was pulling hard as hell and I was running pretty lean on the top end. I think it was in the 11.50 range on the O2's when I let off at the end.

I ran it with the wastegate blocked. It ran 104-105mph in the eighth but only trapped 129-130. Shifting earlier made the car faster. 5400-5500 shifts. The shift rpm correlated with the dyno data. It was a 7.5:1 engine with less than ideal cam timing but not much different than what you see people running around here. The compressor was being choked off by the small diffuser. The t-metics 66 wheel is no where near as good as the Garrett 66 or other 66 wheels available. I've switched out quite a few and picked up considerably over the t-netics wheel even with the small cover. I have gone 111-112mph in the eighth with my car using a 66 t-netics with the large cover on a really good 9.3:1 engine and had one 114mph pass but it was out of steam out the back even with the large compressor cover.

I have a 9:2:1 motor and really good heads so maybe that and the cool weather that night might explain why the mph was so good.

Needless to say whatever it is the turbo did well and I'm happy with it so far and hope that when I put the 3500 back in it will be an animal out the gate and on top.

It pulls better than the TE63 that was on the car when I bought it and as long as I get in the 10.40/50 range I'll just enjoy it for awhile.

Rob, that was a great run- were you on slicks or drag radials?

My combo is pretty close to yours- I will be stoked to run mid tens with my car!

Currently running M/T ET streets ;295/50/16.

You shouldn't have a problem getting there, your cam and a couple other small differences but yeah we are real close to the same combo.

For comparison, times in my sig were with the same turbo at 24-25 psi. Have not had an opportunity since to push it further, we'll see what this year brings.

I'm going to the track tomorrow night. I will see what I can get out of it with the 3,500 stall in it.

On 19psi, 18' of timing and pump gas I went 11.55 with ignition problems and the car popping bad after the 1/8 mile. It did pull a 7.3 in the 1/8 at 94mph. I think if it was a clean pass it would have been closer to 11.3/11.2 1/4 mile.

That is flying! What boost and timing were you running?

I was at 26/27 lbs. and the timing was at 25/24 in first/second and I believe 21 in third.

That turbo pulls real good at those boost levels. It's just waking up around 20 lbs.

Turn your boost up to at least 24/25 if your tune/chip can handle it and you'll feel the difference between the 19lbs. and 25lbs. is night and day.

You should be able to get a low to mid ten out of your combo depending on your heads but you definitely have more motor than I do.

I still have the stock tranny. But I just ordered a stage III from Lonnie. Once that is in I'll definitely turn up the boost! But then I can only run 1/8's since I don't have a cage. For heads I only have champion steels. I have some 80's to put and will be running a turbotweak with MAF and WB O2 correction.

Post time slip. Is like to see 660' and 1320' info

I don't have a cage either. I just go on test and tune night every once in a while.

I get thrown out when I run the 1/4 so I only do that every third or fourth trip to the track.

I have steel heads also, but they have a real good port job and a lot of work went into them.

Good steel heads can go into the nines no problem.

You will be happy with the new trans as I haven't broke my EA stg.II trans yet and I drive my car almost everyday.
