Craaazy wipers

I was driving home from work today when the storm of the freakin century blew through my county. At this point my windshield wipers decided it would be a good idea to stop wiping my windshield, go into the park position, and then sit there and wiggle a little bit. I moved the selector through all the speeds and back to high and still nothing. I drive all the way home thanks to rain x, still barely being able to see. Then the best part was when i was pulling in my driveway after the whole ordeal, they start wiping my windshield like all hell. I dont want this to happen again, and rainy season is just getting started. So....any ideas....anyone? thanks again.

mine does the same thing, pretty sure its time for a new motor.

Sounds like the park relay circuitry to me.

Probably the cover if the motor will still work when power is applied.

Pulse wiper option or not???

no pulse wiper option here, but it looks like it some times,lol.

Probably the internal circuit breaker then, or the park relay and mechanical arm in the cover.

Gotta check both of those, I'd check the cover first since you can see stuff in there more easily.

Look at the park mechanical arm and relay contacts.

Probably pick one up from G Body parts reasonably, the whole assembly that is.

Cover is available from GM still about $50 or so.

The $50 would be the pulse wiper cover, the non-pulse model is much cheaper of course.
