Crank sensor HELP needed

I am re-assembling my engine and need to know which slot the crank blade is to run through. I have attached a picture for ease of answering the question.
Advice asap is very appreciated!

The blade passes through the sensor opposite side of the connector. # 2 on your pic.
 
Thanks for posting this 2tone... I've been needing to do this as well. Freaking out a little on how I get the bracket in, and sensor lined up with the blade. I have a feeling I'm going to f* it up and have a non running car lol

Just install it and put a credit card / Autozone card on ether side tightin it down. Rotate the motor make sure it doesn't touch and u r good
 
Put a dial indicator on the interrupter ring and get total max runout to 0.005".
This may surprise you.

Mark the highest spot and set the CPS gap in at this spot.

I don't have any way of doing that.....no dial indicator.
