NA Crank for sale STD/STD $100 plus shipping. I pulled a 109 motor out of the junk yard and dont need this one. Needs nothing, not even a polish. I also have the balancer and flywheel if needed for a little extra.

I may also have a stock turbo crank that is STD/STD that is getting polished right now at the machine shop, for sale. Just need to make sure the crank in my motor isn't hurt first before I let that one go.

Casting number

Not an expert on how to read it but here is what I can make out.

Top (closest to balancer) B720 sideways 6 or 9??
Middle 619
Bottom 228 (closest to flywheel)

Thats the only numbers I see on it, unless there is some other place to look.

PM me if the turbo crank becomes available, I am just "up the road" in Lexington, I need one for a build. Thanks.

are you sure that 228 is not a 229 that would be a turbo crank if it has the rolled fillets

Could be 228 or 229, hard to tell honestly. It has the rolled fillets on the mains but not on the rods, NA crank.

It was in a 109 block I pulled from an 86 cutlass, dash was gone, but interior was in great shape, looked to be low mileage. Block has at least 6 cracks in it that I can see now, after washing it at the car wash, 4 in the valley and 2 external. All the freeze plugs are still in it, but I'd guess it was frozen hard causing the cracks. Biggest crack I have ever seen on an 8445 head as well. Really, really wish I had seen the cracks before wasting my time pulling it.

Orangecar,

I haven't had time to mess with my car, and I will be out of town till friday. I should know something next weekend.

Take care,
John

Fwiw the casting number is the same on all even fire 3.8/4.1 rwd cranks.
