I like to if something like this exists ,I would like to have a belt driven vacuum pump like a star vacuum pump. That would mound in factory accessory bracket and take place of factory ac compressor. That way it can be belt driven by factory serpent belt.Anyone seen or know if this is possible?

I worked with Steve at Star Machine a few years ago and we came up with a package to mount one of their vac pumps.

The RPM of the pump, especially at WOT is critical, and we could not find a good plan to run it with the factory belt.

We ended up by using a cogged pulley on the water pump to run the vac pump.

This has worked very well for me over many years! :)

Nick have you ever tried an electric vac pump off a later GM (I believe it was a S-10 truck or Camaro). We tried one with the superstocker until they said we couldn't:rolleyes:

I used both the GM and Ford electric pump, and both were a PIA and not reliable.

With lots of boost and RPM, they did help but not enough.
