LOL...didn't you just bash me for a simliar post....hypocrit.
I'm not going to debate you. You are a anti-american fvcktard, plain and simple. I can't be any more clear than that. ;)

X2.

Cop-hater, soldier-hater, America-hater, probably a tweeker, too.

Die soon, scumbag. Right after you learn to spell "awe."

More information is coming out on this today. It seems that some of the people killed were journalists from reuters. It has also been stated that some of the people were in fact carrying weapons. This could be one of two things. Either the people with weapons were a security detail for the journalists of the journalists were embedded with insurgents (which foreign national press sometimes did). Either way, they should have not been walking down the street with weapons. None of them were marked press with the flak jacket and helmet either. The TADS (targeting system on apaches) would make out if one of them had the dark blue vest on.

I find it a bit disturbing that so many people (all over the internet) can watch this little gun cam clip and then armchair quarterback it like they know all about the ROE at that time in that sector. This was during the surge and new baghdad/sadr city has always been very hot. This is the face of asymetric warfare. No one said it was pretty and clear cut. I'm saddened by the fact that innocent people were killed but it is a war zone.

On the flip side, it's also disturbing to hear people (once again, all over the internet) say things like kill them all and how glad they are that they all died. I agree that all insurgents should meet their maker, but to have a wanton blood lust seems a bit irresponsible. It's very easy to yell kill them all and it's another thing to walk the walk and smell the metallic/copper smell of blood in the air. I'm glad to do the job that I do but at the end of the day I don't celebrate the lives that are taken.

No disrespect to anyones opinion on here.

I will not second guess troops on the ground or in the air.

There is not one person who goes to Iraq who is not made fully aware of the dangers they will face. Whether they are a civilian or military personnel.

If they are going to shoot you, you will do what it takes to save your ass and I expect them to be no different.

Sadr city is not a joke. I lost a friend to a sniper and saw many a service memeber ripped to peices by IEDs.

That is some amazing zoom camera equip they use. Anyone know what distance they are at?

This looks like newer generation TADS/FLIR. Trust me, farther then you would think. Just look at the time delay between them squeezing off 30mm to impact on target.

They are definately far away. The targets didnt even see it coming ( or hear it ).

A+ on the guy that mentioned that these "journalists" werent wearing ANY protective gear ---

Ok, we have heavily armed people, one with an RPG that could easily kill many Americans AND destroy a multi-million dollar helicopter. What should we do, run away and allow them the chance to take out our military sons and daughers at a later date? I have a 20 year old son defending our country.......if it comes down to them or my son, I don't think you need to ask my opinion.

Smoke 'em all and let Allah sort them out !!

I AGREE 100% any of the crybabies here would think differently if it was them or their family members getting shot at. Did the original poster REALLY say just 1 RPG what a MORON? 1 RPG kills many people, but its not your family members so theres no need to engage them.

Its called casualties of war plain and simple, at least we are not targeting Innocent civilians like they did 911. get over it and give em hell. (fire Missiles that is)

who`s they????

I thought we were in Iraq to search for WMDs

Yep, thats why I asked. They had to be quite a distance for those guys "not" to hear those Apaches.

my reply isn't directed towards you alwayscode.

great example of how the US does business, only thing I am in aww of is how we get to troll the planet murdering w/o consequence. my favorite parts are the laughs and the jokes about the missed hits and off shots.................o and the cursing in a mics at their targets from miles away looking through a super scope makes them look really tough. they have guns and a single rpg oOoOo no, what ever will we do against guys with sandals and guns and tshirts.

I feel much safer after losing my freedoms so our military can murder those men. knowing those men wearing sandals and a tshirt will not be terrorizing me anymore totally helps me sleep and make it through my day LOL........sad, and youtube allows the video to be up! So you can watch people get murdered all dam day, heads blown off, body parts flying everywhere, but I can't get any nipple from youtube? I love American hypocrisy. War is needed to protect us? but yet we kill the most people in the world period w/o question or consequence, and hell why not lets all watch it in HD. Only as long as its US doing the killing of course, because videos of american's being murdered it completely illegal, but when we do the murdering its not an issue.

you can't even have a copyrighted song in a video without the video getting pulled, lol but murder no problem, click HD dont forget.
You know, I'll say this and leave it be but, you made the comment "they have guns and an RPG". How many RPG's need to be present before it should be taken as a threat? So any one single person carrying an RPG should be left alone? Sorry, I just don't understand your reasoning behind that remark.

I think we need to stop being the Police of the World. Obviously. they can't take it.

Great post but I'm afraid your common sense will blow over most heads here.

Exactly..

"You need professional help, son. Seek it, it might help you."
My thoughts, Sean.
Additionally, if you find the way this country operates so distasteful..........You can always pack your $hit, and GTFO.
I'm sure there's some $hithole that would make you welcome.
How about the tribal region of Afganistan?? There, you would get a much higher percentage of the population agreeing w/ your bs.

In case you are wondering, I served in the USAF.

Been on both sides of a pointed barrel and I will say that I have had no delusions of what could possibly happen to me in service of my country. Don't want anyone's sympathy if I pay the price... that being said I'd be amazed if there was some Iraqi watching a youtube video of Juba smoking a US service member saying "that's terrible". Bleeding heart liberals will always judge harshly, from a far mostly. Soldiers get paid to take orders, if that means to take care of business through violence of action so be it... plain and simple is we are the best in the world at what we do.

Dirt belongs with DIRT.

Sometimes bad things are done to help out with the bigger picture. yes it sucks, but sometimes people have to brutally die inorder for the point to be made.

I do also beleive america has "pussified" itself to death. we need to grow some nuts and be a little more straight forward with what we do. if you cant please everyone, atleast please yourself.

face it, there are things about life we dont like. War, being one of them. I dont nessacarily agree that the innocent people should have met there end in this way, but it was a case of WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME.

What does upset me about this, is how it came to be. Somebody has a big fat mouth, or was wanting to show off. Videos like this need to stay within the militarys hands- not out in the world for the media to distort in the way they see fit.

LOOSE LIPS, SINK SHIPS.

I wasn't aware that security details that protected journalists carried RPG's.....lol Some of you really need to get a clue.

Well, while I was THERE several high ups Iraqis made they're own details (without authorization) that would carry ak's, rpg's and pkc's. I'm not saying a reporter is high up but if he was related to one of the local Sheiks, then it would be far fetched but possible. Iraq is a crazy place man, especially during the surge. I've seen crazier things. Like I said though, this is just the things I've seen in my AO (which included New Baghdad, Sadr City, Adahmiyah, Jizm Diyallah, and Selma Pac). Do I have a clue? Just askin...

Re reading my above post, I want to apoligize to GN Brett. It came off a little abrasive and I didn't mean to offend. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I will admit that an Iraqi PSD with an RPG is very very VERY far fetched, but I was just trying to see it from all possible angles. The only guys I remember with a bunch of RPG's all the time were the 2nd Iraqi BDE (Wolf Brigade) They were the "commandos" trained by CJSOTF. The odds of anyone besides JAM insurgents walking around that AO with an RPG is extrememly unlikely. So again, I wasn't trying to make it personal and if you read it that way, I apologize in advance.
