Guys the wife and I were foolish with Credit Cards when we were first married (20 years ago) and we paid them off and cut them all up and have just used Debit Cards since that time.

I am looking to get a card for my business travels this year (rather than use my debit for security reasons) and rather than just go to BOA or Citi etc I thought I would see what you guys prefer.

I don't need a huge credit limit as it will be paid off monthly.

TIA

Ty

Hey man, they are all the same. Just go with the lowest interest rate you can find. Alan and I use a credit card for the dent business travels only. It dont even have to be a "Business Card", a regular card will do. It works out good IMO cause your not draining your cash, even though its good to cash flow your business when you can. Our business is seasonal, and we just send XX a month to the cards until they are paid off. You just hand the credit card statement to your tax person at the end of the year for your write off's. Also we pay estimated taxes quarterly. it saves us $$. Just sayin. :)

Hey Jason,

Yeah I had a Corp. Card through the business but one Jack *** abused it so now we have to fill out weekly expense statements to get reimbursed.

I didn't figure there was a lot of difference but sure as heck if I didn't ask:eek::biggrin: lol

Dang that sucks. Well whatever works right?

i put everything i can on my american express, and its the only card i have. i earn enough points to get about a hundred bucks back about every 4 months. not much, but kind of a nice little bonus

X2...if you're planning on paying it off every month, the interest rate doesn't matter. I used AmEx for my business travel expense account too.

The company provides us an Amex card. If I had to pay for it out of my pocket i don't know that I would do that. Their yearly fees are kinda high.

I just applied for an Amex "Zync" card. Only $25 a year in fees.

I use Amex gold fer bidness. It's been like the OnStar of credit cards for me while traveling.

When I go to the massage parlours they have the decency to put "home depot" on my statements.....

I love my Discover card (mainly the service), but out of the big 4, unfortunately it's the least accepted. Prolly not suited for business...

Speaking of Loans & Money

My son lent his buddy a couple of $K's to buy a broken tree chipper that they rebuilt and got working to sell at a profit.

My son is getting 20% return on the lent money & the sales price. they are asking 10k for the chipper.

I think that kid watched to many GODFATHER movies with me.
