Cross member

Hey guys, I am putting a th400 in my '86 and was wondering what all is need for a cross memeber? Is there a company out there that makes one for our cars that just bolt in or do I have to fab one up out of the original? I previously had a th350 in the can and all I really had to do was move the member up just a little and it was good to go. Any information is greatly apprecaited.

easy swap

You can use the stock TR x-member and stock trans mount with the THM 400 trans. You have to slot one hole in the trans mount to make it fit the THM tailhousing. You can also use the stock driveshaft with a 400 yoke and a hybrid u-joint.
