I had one of the owners of Seeley Engine Machine fabricate a 2.5 DP that would fit on my stock ported elbow.
They did a exceptional job designing a custom downpipe for the TTA. He used the tig welder for the entire project. I had from the turbo elbow to the intermediate pipe fabricated with 2.5 piping and a custom dump. $250 included parts and labor.

Feels much stronger now and even whistles a touch. I feels like 30-40hp was added with an open exhaust over the stock junk. My 6262 can breath now:p

Looks like it could do the job.. we went in the 11s with that beautiful stock piece

Looks sweet. Great price too. Now hook your dump to an electric cut-out and you'll be happy as a pig in 5hit.:D

I know it.

This piece makes the throttle response so much better though. I had a stock gutted cat w/ the stock flex pipe replaced first. Then we tested on the g-tech for trap speed. That first piece made more of a difference then the new DP.

Then we put the 2.5 DP on and it spooled faster, sounded better and pulled harder at all RPM for sure. But, replacing the gutted cat and flex pipe with 2.5 piping was slightly more noticable IMO.

How about a 3.5" oval down pipe that clears everything? I don't think I want to ever do this again. What a PAIN to work on these cars. I had to redo the header/cross-over, and "massage" the K-member at the lower control arm attach point, but later found I didn't need to trim the K-member at all. It sure made it a bit easier to fit the tubes in there for fitment, though. The fire wall lip was bent up, too. I have alot of pics of the project if anyone is interested. I think I have over 30 hours into just the down pipe. About half of the time was spent arguing with myself to keep "trying" to get that HUGE pipe in there. I told the owner that I could do it, so I HAD to make it work. Stubborn as a mule I am. (probably as smart as one, too. I mean WHO in their right mind would volunteer for such an "adventure"? I think it would have been easier to dribble a football from LA to Vegas.)

Looks great brotha! Little by little that thing is going to be a beast! What boost controller is that?

Bc..

Hallman Pro Boost Controller. Simply marvelous controller and only costs $85. The newer RX models that have the ceramic ball (lighter) which is supposed to bring the boost on faster. That model comes in red or black only.

Joe,

That looks great, sorry that I did not see this sooner.
I wish I could take her for a spin!
