Custom Hood Emblems

We no longer carry the custom hood emblems due to the previous company screwing up several orders and taking Way too long at the end. We decided to just cut the ties with the company rather than produce a product to customers with no guarantee on when the customer would receive it. That instantly makes us look bad be cause ultimately we are the one selling the product.

PS: We are talking with several larger company's that can produce a higher quality emblem in a timely manner. I still have the art work of all the emblems from before and once we choose a company to go with we will be having some samples done to check the quality. Once we have a company nailed down that produces quality emblems we will start advertising them here.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, We just want you to receive the quality product you deserve and in a decent time period.

That's the way a vendor SHOULD operate. If the supplier can't get it right then it's time to move on to a new one. Once a vendor starts selling crap because they can make a few extra bucks their reputation goes down the toilet.

Hey give me a call, I was at a shop the other day and seen something that might save you some money if they have'nt started it yet.

If you have no luck on this endeavor contact me as I have a source that makes the 3.8 sfi for us...we get various products made for other companies where you would own all the inventory. Example we get a Volvo a pilla rholder made for a Volvo company etc...

Thanks for the offer Dennis! I have a local place right here in town that I will be checking on first because when it's done right here locally you can always keep a eye on the quality and elliminates a bunch of shipping.. If they can do what I want then I will give you a call..

Shipping on plastic emblems is not a big cost factor company that my source uses is near your state....and quality is not a problem as we buy probably 40-50 different emblems now from them.....so my supplier is a huge customer....naturally to avoid any tooling and die costs you need to commit to 100 or more...like any part its all about numbers.....

It can become a cost factor if the product is made in CA and then shipped to the customer and the customer isn't happy with the quality of the product! If i'm right here near a company where I can stop in to see the finished product myself "Before" it gets sent out then that will certianly stop A Lot of headache's..

Were not dealing with tool and die stuff Dennis, What we deal with is a hand made emblem from a $50,000 Laser engraving machine with Several steps in the process in order to create an enblem. One single style emblem would have to be pretty darn popular in order to recoupe the cost of buying 100 sets!! You should know by now Dennis that in the Buick comunity people want something different all the time so making emblems practically per order is much more easy and efficiant on the vendor. I would not like to invest money for 100 emblems that I "Thought" would due well, then to only sell 20! Now your stuck with gobs of emblems no one wants..

Hey Scott, how about take a poll of potential customers on which emblems they would be interested in? Or take down payments? I think they will sell like hotcakes personally. I know that I would take a 4.1SFITURBO set and I'm pretty sure i know a few others that would take some as well.

I understand the principle....as the more you produce obviousily you can spread the costs and set a reasonable retail price.

My connection is not set up for short runs. However, thinking outside of the Buick box if you hit on an emblem that appeals to a wider market that is worth examining a larger run thus a retail price that makes the product more saleable.

One such example is the small supercharged emblem we had done. Originally used on the Rivieras the small emblem can be used virtually related to any supercharged car.

My source is not on the west coast but within 1-2 states of your southern location. Again no big deal just giving you a possible option down the road.

I offered these in several designs and spent a bunch of time on the right designs and only sold a few sets and having drop ship company issues on top of that it ended up Not worth it at all.. Sales were far from hotcakes for sure..but I plan and will be making them again this year sometime.

Right now i'm working on a bunch of Stickers for us !!!! Some re-productions of old ones and some custome new ones...

Yep those are ours, If you were the one who ordered 3 emblems and it took 3 months to only receive two then a month later finally got the 3rd one, then yes you were the last order that made me get rid of the manufacture that made them for us. It was those actions that we just can't deal with....

Anyone point me in the right direction? I don't care if it take 3-6 months...
