ASC looks like they used a cut off wheel on all 3 of my GNX'S

I used a thin disc cut off wheel.

Cut off wheel, then a fine file to smooth the edges.. I then took 150 sandpaper and smoothed and rounded edges,note my fenders were bare metal so heat was not an issue...but if you are not re-painting i would mark the cut area,tape it with a few layers of tape, mask-cover the car(so metal and debris stays off the paint).. Move the cutter very slow so the heat does not burn of damage the paint..good luck....

FYI....the prototype vehicles were cut using a cut off wheel...production started out using a plasma cutter (yes a plasm cutter)....then ended up using an electric hand held shear.
I actually made some of the plasma cutting fixtures.

Wow, Plasma..That explains the slag and molten holes in the plastic inner fenders..:biggrin: Just kiddin!
