Can anyone explain what the "memory" feature is with some of the Cyberdyne Gauges?
I can't find any web site that explains this, in fact I can't find Cyberdyne's site, surely they have one.

And are Cyberdyne digital gauges reliable?
Thinking of Fuel Pressure, oil pressure, and trans. temp.

I think the digital readout is easier/quicker to be able to read if they are as accurate as the analogs.

Here is Cyberdynes phone # 724 258 8440 Give them a call, they are pretty friendly. Their stuff has a lifetime warranty. I have their dash and tranny temp gage.

some info....

I recently bought some digital gauges by Nordskog, and they also have the memory feature. What the memory feature does is retain the highest (and lowest) reading the gauge has registered from the time its powered up. The memory resets after you switch off the key. It comes in handy when you want to see max boost or fuel pressure after a run.

As far as accuracy goes, while I can't speak for the Cyberdyne gauges, the Nordskog water temperature gauge I installed is not entirely accurate. I tested the reading on the gauge for the whole warm up cycle against a scan tool and it was off by as much as 20 degrees at times.

Also, the boost gauge is somewhat slow to register. And while I haven't verified its accuracy, it sometimes fluctuates between zero and one pound of boost, even at idle. The fuel pressure gauge seems to be the most accurate of the three I bought.

Like I said, I can't speak for the Cyberdyne gauges, but I will buy analog gauges next time around, since I've had them in the past and they never failed me. I must admit though, the green digital display of the gauges compliments the factory digital dash nicely.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

GN Ergy, where does the sender go for the tranny temp gauge? Is it one that mounts in-line on the fluid return line at the radiator?

My Nordskog water temperature gauge tracks very well with my OTC4000E, and looks way cool in my console pod, with its green numbers and peak hold!!!

:)

Yes I got a T fitting and cut into the return line and put it in there.

Just got off the phone with Cyberdyne, they said to make sure that the sender is in the line going to the radiator so that the temp measured is before the fluid is cooled by the radiator.

This may explain why my other tranny temp gauge hardly got off of 100 degrees as it measure the temp in the pan which is after the radiator and cooler before its picked up by the pump/filter.

Does that sound right that you want to measure the temp of the fluid right as it comes out of the tranny before cooling?

I have the Cyberdyne fuel pressure gauge & it has hi & lo callback feature.
I haven't yet checked it, but I feel it's a little slow in reading fuel pressure.
