D5 converter in monte SS ???

Just wondering....

I'm stripping an '86 monte SS, it has a CZF trans and equipped with a D5 converter... I know the D5 was normally in the BRF's, but this is the first I've seen it in a monte...

Is this common?

after posting the samething on www.montecarloss.com, it seems that the montes did come with the D5 as well as the T/R's...
