You know that stripping wires with your teeth and wrapping it around loose fender screws will eventually lead to trouble.

Maybe all under-hood connections should involve dielectric silicone. It sure helps on motorcycles. :)

Same or similar stuff to the black goo they stuff in the relays under the hood in our cars.

Got a couple tubs of it out of the dumpster at work when they were cleaning up.

Haven't needed any just yet however.

I try to solder everything and then cover it with a big wad of sticky black Scotch 33 tape, good for 15 years at least.

Heatshrink man heatshrink.Looks good and works great:)
 
Takes too long and only works good when the wires are the same or similar gauge.

Always covered with tape or cheesy plastic loom anyway. ;)

I use it when I premake harnesses however. :)
