Anyone ever do this to get rid of some of the drivetrain slop? I would still use the poly trans mount, just delete the rubber bushings between the frame and crossmember. I know I will have to compensate for the pinion angle and am not worried about ride quality.

Would this not also help tighten up the frame? Weld it in and act like a mid car brace?

What is odd is the 86 Monte Carlo SS I owned had none in at all.I think they were used to help minimize vibration of the V6 and give a soft ride.I looked at them and thought about leaving them out also.

Is there a difference in ride quality? I notice everyone mentions track cars only.

no need for fancy nuts and washers , just flip the stock upper cushion over and bolt it down with the stock bolts as you would if you were going to run the cushions
