difference in turbos?

what are the turbos from the 86-87 GNs? ta, te, what? i know nothing of these turbos, are they the same for this year?

and are they better than the ford t-bird turbos off manual cars(.63/.60)?

what to look for, numbers, any different models? or are all the 86-87 the same, and better than a garrett t03 (.63/.60)?

The TA model has a bolt on intake on the compressor housing where as the TE model the intake is moulded on the compressor as in one piece. the stock turbo came as a TA model, so some people like to keep the stock look even if they have modified the turbo.
