I've searched and read many posts about the Turbo Lights on the Digital Dash.

I'm not getting any lights ... even when it was running.

(I currently have the fuel tank removed to replace it so I cant start the engine)

I was wondering if the ECM was involved and does the engine need to be running for the ground out check? I've only done it with the car in run (not started).

I've grounded each connector from the Hobbs switch (havn't even gotten to the point where I suspect that) and nothing. I had the cluster out and swapped the 194s for known good ones ... grounded again still nothing.

Anything I'm missing? (except of a open circuit)

Thanks

I would love to figure this out myself my turbo gauge or premium fuel do not work.

After 5 years I missed mine so I hooked a vacuum line back up and it worked like a charm.

I wonder if it doesn't work because of the aftermarket boost gauge that is installed in my car.

The digital just uses an electrical signal to trigger the lights, your boost gauge has no bearing on the lights. Make sure your vacuum line to the passenger fender is good.

Is it the second one on the canister? Because mine isn't plugged in and I belief there is a bolt plugging in where it is supposed to go

I just realized that is a hotair car, not sure where the vacuum routing goes.

The canister I think your taking about (which sits where the Monte Carlo battery tray would be) on the fwd drivers side of the eng compartment is your emission vapor canister that I believe has one line to vacuum and one to the purge soleniod. My (hot air) turbo pressure Hobbs switch is located on the right side fender well over the wheel. I believe where the intercooled turbo pressure maf is on your cars. Pics of mine below:

It appears the vacuum line from the HVAC/Cruise has another Y fitting to the hobbs switch which should be good enough.

White arrow is the switch yellow and red arrows are the respective leads to the bulbs

Vacuum/Boost plays a role in the switch working. If I remember correctly when the car started to enter boost the yellow turn light light up and once over a certain amount of boost (10PSI?) the red one lit up. I remember them being hardly accurate and more of a novelty but it was fun to see them light up.
