where can I source one of these. The little brass housing sustained damage on the front side and the ball does not seat and seal anymore. what problems would arise if this part does not seat and seal.

Tap the damaged seat lightly with a hammer, then hit the check ball from inside drum to seat the check ball. Works 4 out of 5 times. The check ball is not available. If you find a source, please advise.

The check ball is for the reverse cavity only. A small leak probably will not be an issue. If dual feed, it could be a problem. Try to get it to seal though.

Thanks for the reply, I will try and tap the ball from the backside and see if it Will seat again. I will use a round stock peice of aluminum for the task.

It worked. Tapped from the backside and now the ball seats. Thanks for you're help here it is gladly appreciated.
