This thing came in box of parts that came with the car. It's got the ribbon cable, but no serial.
Here's the rub: I don't have an old laptop or a '148 ECM I can test it on, so I have no idea if it works - therefore I'll allow whoever buys it 3 days to return it for a full refund of the purchase price.

Yeah, it's a gamble, but the most you can lose is the $4.05 it takes to ship back (which I'll also lose).
