I ran my GN at Atco on the 19th and was hoping to do better than I did. With the combo I have I thought a high eleven sec run was going to happen.I only had 3 passes and they were as follows.

R/T 1.68
60' 2.563
330 6.488
1/8 9.428
MPH 83.58
1000 11.979
1/4 14.163
MPH 103.22
22 psi in tires
20 psi in right air bag
10psi launch with ebrake
25 psi boostmax
lit tires up in 1st and 2cnd gear
My buddy did the first and last runs.
FP 44 psi on all runs

R/T .202
60' 1.906
330 5.296
1/8 8.168
MPH 85.07
1000 10.678
1/4 12.828
MPH 104.88
15 psi in tires
20 psi in airbag
6psi launch off footbrake
28 psi boost

I can't find the time slip but I know the 60' foot was 1.75 and the 1/4 was 12.54 @ 106.3

boost was at 28psi
airbag was 20 psi
6 psi launch off footbrake

Car seemed to hook up well the last 2 runs so why is my MPH so low?The alky worked great as did everything else.I will be purchasing a G-tech pro and will be tuning my brains out.

Your mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4 is definately down. Something in the tune would be my guess. Too rich? Too lean? low timing? With no scan tool data we're all (you too) just guessing.

What are your O2 numbers, knock?

Do you still have the stock valvesprings?

Your 60' are hurting you but your MPH is also down. This means that you have both traction issues and power issues.

My old school TE-44, Bluetop car ran 11.9 with a 2.0 60' but it did put down 115 mph, meaning poor traction and decent power.

If this was your first time with the car, don't worry too much, you need to learn how the car reacts - my first pass was a terrible 14.1, got down to low 12's the same day after 6-8 more passes.

My mechanic is going to let me use his direct scan for awile so I can get the tune right. Thanks and I will keep you posted.

I would get yourself a scanmaster - they are always there for you!

I had the vacuum line fall off my fuel pressure regulator and the scanmaster saved me from blowing the motor.

I would not hammer it and in no way race a GN "flying blind" without a scan tool.

My $.02

I do have a scanmaster but it does't hold the data after a run.The direct scan will hold the data so we can tune the car for the next run.I will also invest in a G-tech pro so I won't have to drive an hour and a half to the nearest track.Just plug it into a lighter and it is supposed to be within 1/10 of a second accurate for 1/8,1/4,60ft,lateral g,mph,et, all that fun stuff.
