Ditching Google chrome

Keeps locking up my windows 7 machine.

I'm now using Firefox. Seems ok, for an old guy w/ limited pc skills.

It shouldn't be chrome locking up your machine. I run it on both of my win7 machines with Zero issues.

I use both Firefox and IE. Firefox seems to work better on my laptops for this site but IE works better for other sites. Computers.

I actually prefer Chrome over Firefox or IE. You can add AdBlock to Chrome (and Firefox) which greatly reduces clutter. It'd be nice to also have that capability on the iPad.

Always had good luck with chrome. Back when it first started up, it rocked out. Seems to be alright on my xp machine but hangs up my win7. Says waiting for catch and sometimes never recovers.

I didn't have a choice and have been using firefox for the last week. Chrome started hanging up and now has issues starting. If I try it now it blacks my puter put and then starts it up like it's in basic mode. I'm going to remove it and try re-installing it but I don't have much hope at this time.

Firefox is the only one that seems stable on this site for me. Chrome takes forever to load a page...I am using a Macbook Pro and havent tried Safari for several years, maybe i will give that a shot too.

Been using Firefox for 2-3 years now. IE just got too clitchy and locks up alot on a varity of OS's.

Firefox bogs down my computer uses 2x's the amount of memory as running Chrome. Always run Adblock Plus, makes internet surfing much more enjoyable. (unless you are on a site you want to support etc.)

I run Safari at work, It is way way better than it used to be, fast and clean.

I have mac's btw (hate away if you want, I do not care)

Ended up being a virus. Had multiple "chrome.exe *32" running in the processes. Took me a while to track it down and delete. All is running well again but I'm kinda starting to dig firefox and just might keep it around for a bit.

Nothing wrong with mac's.

It did sound like a virus. Glad you found it. I like fire fox a lot and used to use it exclusively but some of the recent updates and version launches have started to bog down my computer. That is when I switched to Chorme and Safari
