Do I need to adjust brake pedal switches

About a month ago I adjusted the white switch on the end of the steering column because my back up lights were not working. Now they work. I hope this was the correct switch.
Here is a pic.

Here is a pic of the brake pedal switches. Do I need to adjust the switches so their closer to the brake pedal shaft? Currently I can pull back the brake pedal about 1/8" before it rests on the plastic switches (threaded part) of the switch.

How do you adjust the switches? Their threaded so I assume you turn them clockwise to get closer to the pedal shaft. But looking at the switches one would be in the way of the other unless you unscrewed the one with the rubber hose off 1st then adjusted the tan one (RH side), then reinstalled the white one with the rubber hose.

Mark.........just push the switch up to the brake pedal shaft. No need to spin it on the threads. Just push to adjust against the pedal shaft or to remove, you just pull it off. ;)

Just wondering......who was the little guy up under your dash with a digital camera?

That was me who crawled under the dash. Kind of tough being 6'2". So how much slack on a feeler gauge should I have between the end of the threads and the brake pedal shaft? None?

It's not critical

1/16"to 1/8" is about right. If you check it with a test light, you can see when the contacts close.

Well it's already about 1/8" so I'll leave it. I just wondered if I should be able to pull the shaft towards me....thx
