DOC files

someone was nice enough to send me the missing instructions for my new CK shift kit. Problem is they are a DOC file and I can't get windows to open it. How do you do it?

.doc files are microsoft word documents. They can be opened in word, or microsoft works word processor. Once that's done it can be "saved as" something easier to handle, like a .txt file.

I don'tr seem to have that on my computer, so i am still screwed.

If it's not a terribly big file, email it to me as an attachment. I'll convert it to a text file and email it back. Windows can open text files with notepad. My sig has an email link.

Just download Open Office. Works just like Microsoft Office. It opens .doc files fine and it's FREE. http://www.openoffice.org/
