Hey,

Now that it's snowing in Michigan the wife says her Dodge Caliber needs tires. I think she needs more practice driving sideways! :)

I am thinking about getting a set of steel wheels I can put some winter tires on for her. My only hesitation is with the cars tire pressure monitors. Will removing the stock wheels give a dash light or fault code without the sensors on board.

Yes it will set the light. you can swap the sensors to the steel wheels if you want.If you do swap them get new nuts and seals. Napa or Carquest has them in stock

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought.

I was hoping to get a complete set of wheels and tires for winter but seems like the best idea now is to just get new tires for the current wheels.
