Does alky increase boost some?

I have the Razor progressive and ran the boost at 22/23 psi, more to come later. Had some good results with the alky and today I took the boost down to 18 so I could turn the alky off and give the detuned car to my trans shop for some work. I took my static fp up to 44 lb from 42 used with the alky.

I took the HD wg actuator out as far as possible to get around 18 psi, turned the alky off, and checked for kr. Sometimes had around 2 or 3 kr, so I turned the alky back on. It appeared that my boost came up 2 to 3 psi, and of course the car ran stronger, and the kr went away.

Question is does the methanol 117 octane and cooling effect raise the boost? I'm thinking it does or maybe my testing results were not consistent

Well if you get a little KR, the computer will pull boost in some cases.

Tho typically my car does run much higher boost with alcohol

Only on supercharged cars and spraying through the blades have I seen legitimate increases due to the sealing afforded by the liquid.

EGT will affect boost a little, tho I think in your case.. nah..

You could also be spraying too much cuasing it to burn in the exhuast pipes..

Anything is possible. And a few lbs is negligible. Well
