Have the 3.8NA- not tring to build a race car but thinking about throwing on some new gears( 3.42 or 3.73 ) do I have to update the torque converter? Is my rear-end or trani going to sound like it's gonna blow if I'm cruising a responsible 65 mph with the 3.73 gears and don't upgrade the torque converter? currently stock. TIA for your help!

What transmission do you have in the car? What gears are in the car now? If you don't have overdrive I don't think it would be a good idea to go with bigger gears if your motor is pretty much stock. JMHO

Another member before said they went with 3.42 on a 3.8NA and it made a difference, but also suggested a T.C. upgrade. keeping the stock 7.5 gearbox. No need to go with the GN 8.5 gearbox. My engine doesnt produce that much power.
