I sure hope I can talk with a knowledgable PCV engineer in order to determine what they consider in design. I think we are on the right track but would hate to try to reinvent the wheel.

I can tell you the way I read and that is to find one that only drops the idle 50 rpm at idle when you pinch the hose shut.
Be sure the valve is inserted in the manifold first.
Different valves have different letters on the inside disc[forget which way goes heavier-might be the higher the letter,the heavier the weight].

If your going to try something like that, be sure to disable the IAC, or the ecm will correct the idle speed.
