Does your wife/girlfriend think your Buick is ugly?

My girlfriend got the "holy crap are you serious!?" look in her eye when I took her to see it, right before buying the thing. $6k for grandpa's Buick!? she knew I was a Buick fan, but probably didn't understand what I saw in this car. That look lasted about 5 seconds into our first test drive, when I was doing 60 down a small side street. Now she loves it and thinks they're mean looking rides, and laughs at people who think it's a Monte.

you got that problem too eh? my girlfriend LOVES my car...she always want to go cruising in it...she is so cute...i brought her to norwalk last weekend and she saw a GN with a parachute in the back and she said "why don't you put one of those on your car?" LOL! sometimes she's like "man for how much money you spend on your car...you would think you like your car more than me!" which is not true...

My wife didn't give a crap about my GN. Didn't hate it but didn't see the appeal either. She (and I) both love fat fendered cars from the '30s so that's why we're building a GN-powered '36 Chevy 2-dr sedan.
BTW we're both 36 yrs old.

Other than the powerplant, the GN doesn't do much for my wife. She's into sportscars and can't stand the ride of TR's. She actually wants a TTA, and that'll make us both happy.

That sounds pretty interesting. Do you have a website or pics? My father has a 38 Chevy 2dr Business Coupe. It's got a 383 stroker in it... wouldn't mind seeing what something close to his car with a GN looks like.

My wife hates it. She thinks it is uglay and an old man car. I currently have no radio as the antenna is being rebuilt. So, now she complains cuz there is no music. I tell her the noise from the exhaust and turbo is enough music for me. She doesn't even think it is comfortable. She drove my first one but wants no part of this one. She thinks it is too big, she is afraid to crash it or something.

When I owned mine My wife (girlfriend then) loved it. She always wanted to drive it. One day I made the mistake of telling her how to launch it ( press on the brake and give it gas, then let go of the brake). Not too long after that, I let her drive it and we were sitting at a red light and all of a sudden she does it. She launched off that line pretty well for a girl. I was proud, I taught her well. After that she told me about different times that she raced some rice burner in it and whooped it.

Seems like I promoted quickly and skipped the backseat and went straight to the wheel! Be glad that I keep you and not just the car!

All of my past g/fs have thought my GN was a very nice looking car. I happen to agree, I love the neo classic muscle car styling the car exhibits, and completely detailed in black it looks downright sinister.

For those who take offense to any brick comments (I don't) just tell them you'd rather drive a brick than a turd (most new cars are literally shaped like turds, yuck).

If any future g/f dubs the GN ugly, I'll know she isn't a true keeper.
