Hi All
I went into a restro shop today looking to get some repair work done to the bottom of my doors. I took some pictures with me to get a ball park figure of what they would do to repair my little rust issue along with what it might cost. The guy told me "worst case he could order new door skins". The only thing I am wondering about is, I went to three other bodyshops in the area, they all told me; the only thing they would do is replace the doors, because they could not guarantee the rust would not return. They also told me I had to find and bring them the doors to do the work! Seems to me these guys would have suggested new doors skins as an option as well. The question I have for the panel is; is there an after market company out there somewhere who makes replacement door skins for our cars? To be honest, if I could get my doors reskinned, this would be the way to go.
