the double pumper allows you to retain a streetable car since youve really not messed with the fueling under normal driving , you run the same single 340 pump , but above 10psi the other 340 kicks in and supplies the addition fueling , no need to modify anything on the system no noisy pump and no issues for emmisions
some others might say buy once ,go big and dont look , well if you ever get to the mid 9s and feel you want faster sell the double pumper the tank and your fuel lines and go external since at that point the car will be mostly just a race car due to the full cage youll need to be running ($).
with the external youll go with braided line , an fittings, a modified tank (sump) or a cell and then theres the fuel rail and injectors that would also get upgraded and as you get to the nines if you havent already you'll be close to leaving the crank on the ground so then theres the whole bottom end engine buildup ($$$) on which youve already spent bucks on ported heads and fmic and huge turbo so whats another couple hundred thrown in to do the fuel system
besides ive also heard there are issues with the aeromotive ( externals race type pumps ) on street driven cars due to high fuel pressures at idle due to the volume , maybe someone with an external will chime in on that subject
