what do you guys think of the kirban performance and the poston 3 inch down pipes are they worth it on a almost stock car.

I have the Kirban's downpipe and I like it. Only getting rid of it now that I'm going to a bigger turbo, intercooler, etc. For a mostly stock car, it's great. The only issue against it is that it doesn't replace the stock turbo elbow, the first bend after the turbo. Most other downpipes replace this. The stock elbow is restrictive and you need to get rid of that flow restriction. Port out your turbo elbow with a grinder and you're in business.

postons downpipe

i have the 3 inch downpipe from postons. made too many changes when i put it on to see what improvement that it gave. i ported the elbow when i put it on. i am going to replace the elbow and downpipe and then see how much of a gain that i get from it. i would suggest going with a downpipe that does not use the restictive elbow . don't buy twice like i am going to.

I've heard the Kirbans pipe is known to leak, anyone else have this problem?

Mine leaked from the joint just below the elbow, untill I had it welded solid. Also had a dump welded onto it as well. Car ran good. I agree, port the elbow and get a testpipe for it and your in business. Should be enough for a mostly stock car.
