down shift

what should a 87 gn kickdown from second to first? i have to slow the car down to 18 to 20 mph and when i floor it it will kickdown to first. most cars i drove will kickdown from second to first at 35. its a drag to punch the car at 25 or 30 bedcause it takes of slow but if i shift down manually at 35 it launches hard. how do i adjust this so it will?

install a tv downshift spring from a by or similar coded valve body to have more active passing gear above 20 mphour but be aware that other small changes may be necessary afterwards as itll be easier to get 4/3 and 4/2 s at higher throttle than before.

i see you have vac brakes in your sig.how did you run the vaccuum for best results?with a can ,backfire valve still on the master as well as elsewhere?just curious.

i installed a billit tta vaccum pod. and a heavy duty check valve on mc, s-10 wheel cyl. didnt get to install soft large shoes yet. i can hold 7# of boost and thats at 1556 rpm this is brake and gas floored still need a convertor this d-6 is killing me with 2.3 60' times. like to put a 3000 in.
