IN the mid 90's a friend of mine was try to buy or lease the track, but the town would'nt go for it. the way i see it, this one day drag day is a big stepping stone to reopenning it again..

I believe my dad use to race there back in the day. I will have to let him know about it.

Gee, I guess fast cars stopped in 1974. Probably afraid to show how really slow the old cars were. It was a big deal when I was a kid to see a 14 second street car, now my Nissan Altima 6 could beat half the "muscle" cars from that era.
