Any reason for this? The cars sounds like I has a small ex leak. Connections are good can't find any cracks but what's with the whole? It's right next to the starter.

(OE crossover on LM9 engine)

Thanks

My factory ones had the same. I'm guessing to prevent rust over time

OK sounds good ... I think I found the leak around the cat outlet @12 oclock with a mirror anyway. I can feel a puff at idle and a small soot trail.

Hmmm.......never seen that before. Might have been caused by a battery cable arc when swapping out a starter with it still hooked to the battery? Hit it with a MIG. Don't have one? Good excuse to go buy one. :D. "But honey............I NEED it to fix the car, and the kids wagon, hell........it'll pay for itself! The guy at Midas quoted me $800 to fix it". (that's probably what the WOULD say)
