If you have a hot wire kit your relay is probably junk. Just enough fuel in the rail to get it started but no fuel pump to keep it coming. Just turn the key on and walk to the rear of the car and listen for the fuel pump.

My car did this and ended up being loose wiring in the column. Check the fuel pump first though as mentioned.

What about your fuel pump can you audibly hear it when you turn the key on?

Just change the fuel pump relay but no luck the car has spark and you cut hear the fuel pump coming on and you cut smell fuel . How do you reset the chip ?

Changing the relay was a waste of time. If the pump is spinning the relay is sending out voltage.

Put your scantool so you can watch the MAF... with the key on (engine off) push the gas pedal to the floor....

does the MAF reading stay put or increase? If it increases with the gas pedal, your ECM isn't getting a signal. Do you have a stock style MAF or a translator?

And buy or build a hotwire kit tonight.

Park the car until you can see what the computer sees.

If you read the last couple months posts in tech, you'll find at least three newbies with catastrophic engine failures from doing just what you're doing.

Sounds like your oil pressure switch might not be working then, it should be a back up to supplying power to the fuel pump should the relay go belly up.
