Never even thought of this, but I read on the other board you can disconnect the wastegate rod from the exhaust side of the turbo and it'll be just like you have no turbo So I thought, hmm, sounds right, so I tried it for fun
It was so slow it was sad Remember driving your parent's car after you got your license? You put the throttle down, the car revs like hell and doesn't go worth a damn -- well, most parent's cars don't! Well that was exactly what I was reminded of today with no boost Was cool heh.
It was weird, I had no boost at first, then after running at WOT for a few seconds it started to slowly build, I think I got up to about 5psi max. Heh. I guess not all the exhaust could go through the bypass in the turbo so some actually turned the turbine Stock turbo btw.
Ahh well, just thought I'd share... Threw the rod back on, tromped it from a slow roll in 1st and peeled the tires off Yup, turbo's back
She still needs tuning, but I'm lovin her regardless.
