The piece I'm talking about is the metal trim piece over the drivers side head as you get out of the car. It's held on by some forsaken POS clips. This damn thing is a royal PITA to remove/reinstall!! Has anyone used flush mount screws to reinstall this piece? How did it look? Any pics?

I'm currently looking for new clips for mine. They can be tricky removing and installing.

I'm pretty sure GBodyParts should have those.

In addition to the original questions, has anyone powder coated these? What exact color was used for the closest match??

Trim needs to be pushed or pulled in one direction to clean the tangs of the clips. Once you get the hang of it, it will be easy.

From outside the car you pull the trim towards yourself. The edge of the trim closest to you is rolled down. Then push back towards the interior.
We have the clips & screws.
I have powder coated the trim Black for an all Black interior with good results, 5 years ago still looks great.
We are having the clips remanufactured.
Just e-mail me if you need the trim powder coated. We just acquired a powder coating company the first of the year.
Or if you just need clips & screws we have them as well

They are not on the site yet. Like a hundred other things we don't have up yet ;)

Yeah, I was trying to reinstall it wrong. Once I figured it out, it snapped in just fine. Hope I never have to remove it though.
