It is time to replace my tired dual electric fans. I believe there are some we can purchase here on the forum or order for a different model than our GN (hence, less expensive) What are you all running?

98 to 2001 I believe then order the plug and play harness from Caspers electronics with relays

I picked up intrepid fans on ebay for $35 but one of the fan motors quit after about 1000 miles. Now I'm running the std dual spal fans from Peter at Alradco. Fit and finish is top notch.

Im running cheap Intrepid fans. Got them from Advance Auto with a lifetime guarantee. 4 years, no problems so far.

I currently have the old ramchargers dual fans, they work ok until I turn on the A/C. Been looking at the Alradco set up, what kind of IC do you have?

GN1 stretch SLIC. The extreme fans probably won't clear as the std ones are a tight fit. Also have a manual override just in case. Temps in summer with AC on were about 190ish and 170 normally. I had similar issues with the intrepid fans, temp would rise above 200 with AC on or in stop and go traffic.

I went w alradco extreme.fans. best money ive spent, well besides his radiator. I have the factory slic and its tight..ill be upgrading to.rjc 315 front mount soon. Id spend the extra coin for.the set.up .

Thanks guys for the positive feedback and recommendation. I appreciate it.

Peter

I have always heard good things of Alradco's fans and will call them if you are looking for a plug and play unit.

I am currently running fans recommended by Nick. They are Derale and pull 4,000 CFM. One fan is tied into the ECM and the other is on a toggle switch.

I'm planning on sending my car to Nick in a few weeks. Fans gave out and will need replacing first

thats the valeo fans in pic
but he says his have better motors now ,

Hey RedC5, Alradco fans fit with the PTE FMIC turbo outlet pipe? With the intrepid/ramchargers fans, there doesn't seem to be much room. Would the aluminum radiator push the fans even further back?

I have a thicker aluminum rad and the std fans are a pretty tight fit with a SLIC. FMIC should be fine.

I went to your sight to research the fans and all the info I got from it was higher CFM than stock.

Could you please tell me how many CFMs the fans are rated for each or together??

Thanks RZ
