cheap ..valeo fans from ebay for dodge intrepid

Thanks Paul, I had real chrysler fans from gbodyparts that worked great for a few years, then I tried the $85 total fan set up from eBay (they lasted from March to October / junk) so now I pulled the trigger on a pair of new motors, that I will put on my set-up that I got from Brian at gbodyparts a few years ago. I can solder so no problem cut and splice wiring as needed .... although if you know of any harness that the two motor wires would fit that would connect to the upgraded fan harness from racetronix...

Chuck: Where did you find the replacement fans?

I went to your sight to research the fans and all the info I got from it was higher CFM than stock.

Could you please tell me how many CFMs the fans are rated for each or together??

Thanks RZ

I'll get that updated on the site. The slim fans pull about 1800 cfm and the extreme fans close to 3000. The other benefit is that our shroud covers the entire radiator, so you're pulling air across all the fins. We've got a lot of customers with the Extreme fans that have told me the second fan rarely kicks on.

We developed these with a fellow turbobuick.com member, toomanymodz. Here's what he had to say as well as a picture of his beautiful engine bay.

Let me start off by saying that I am extremely happy with the fan kit that I tested. Since I live in Florida and have a gigantic custom-built front-mount intercooler that covers the entire radiator, I was in need of some fans that could really move some air. With the stock fan, the engine always ran hot, especially while running the air conditioning. 200 degrees was the norm, and if I had the A/C on while sitting in traffic, the temps would climb towards 220. I resorted to driving with the A/C off, which wan't very pleasant in 90+ degree heat. Now, with the new extreme-fan kit, I've seen the temps drop by as much as 30 degrees and the car actually runs cooler the slower I go in traffic. It just plain works, and works well. The fan shroud utilizes every square inch of the radiator and the fans move a ton of air.

Here is an interesting side note. Since my engine ran at 200+ degrees all the time, I had switched to 10w-40 to improve the idle oil pressure a bit. Now since my engine runs so much cooler, I was able to switch back to 10w-30 because the oil pressure was so much higher.

A huge thanks to Alradco for bringing another fine product to the Buick community.

Nice unit and thanks for the info. on the fans.

I have a F/M also and those won't fit in my car, my up pipes are bigger and at different angles than toomanymodz.

I have slim lines from GBP and they are okay in the summer heat/ac on [also completely shrouded]. They only clear my up pipe by 1/8".

FYI we also do a hybrid set up using one slim fan and one big.

I have the GBP [Aluminum Radiator & Dual Fan Kit] from GBP and the oil cooler blew apart in the rad sending oil in my cooling system and the fans work okay even with my stock rad that just sprung a leak, now I have no rad.

I will send my BPG rad back and get a new one but I'm hesitant about further problems as I took out the heater core flushing all the oil out of my block.

If I had the money I'd go a different route but I'm stuck on the titanic right now with no shore in sight. LOL

I have the Gbody dual fans and they work good and are low profile to my radiator. However the big complaint I have is that both fans kick on at the same time which drops my voltage down a volt and a half. My headlights will dim and if I turn on the A/C the engine will stumble with both of those starting at once. I wish they would delay the second fan starting for a second. They do keep the engine cool very well. On a 90* day the car will stay at 170 or lower with the A/C on so I can't complain too much.

I take it that you don't run a F/M cooler, Mine is the size of a rad itself so I need all the cfm I can get in the 100* heat of south cackalacky in the summer time. I run at mid 170's to mid 180's which is fine with me.

Well I see Alradco is having a sale on his fans, so I just pulled the trigger on the slim fans, pretty sure they will clear the RJC front mount. Had to splurge and get the black set-up.
