I know whit my car I really woke it up a lot with the bigger neck over the stock ic.. I do have a 51 on the car and the lag was kinda bad with the stock ic and got a whole lot less with the bigger neck. Id say a VERY worthy and cost effective mod.

About this bigger neck... where can you have this neck installed at and for how much? You want it to be a goo seal with no leaks right? thanks for the input.:D

I hit 20 psi with 93 octane and duttweiler neck and power plate. However, I had lubrant chips with 50lb injectors etc. No problem with knock, but I do believe the chip was set for 20 degrees? Not sure though.

What combo are you running and what kind of tuning?

My combo looks alot like yours except for the turbo, When I had Joe burn the chip for me it was for 19psi, that was before the power plate. I turned it up to 20 with the power plate.

Hi Bo,

How's things down there where it's WARM?! ;)

I found that I couldn't run as much boost after the install of the 2.5" IC neck on my old GN. Don't get me wrong, I really feel it helped that stock beast get 111.97 mph 1/4s! But I could only run about 16psi after, whereas I was able to run 17-17.5 prior. Same chip the whole time, of course. Quicker spool was noticeable after install, too.

Yes... ALKY it!

Hi Jay, everything is going great. Alky is in the future Just wanting to tune for as much boost as I can right now so when the alky goes on, I dont have to worry as much about anything going wrong. I want to get the neck but also wanted info. on it first.
Cordova still upgrading?

Bo

You have to get an experienced welder to cut off the old neck and weld on the new one and grind the weld smooth, fill with bondo and smooth out and repaint. Looks just like stock now:)
