Dyno Roasted Tranny

Anyone ever hear of a dyno roasting a tranny?

Does a dyno. place any greater or lesser load on a transmission than a similar number of dragstrip or street WOT tests.

When we ran our cars at Dyno Day, I asked Eric Rankin why they ran my car up to 5300RPM. I *think* I remember him saying something regarding how the dyno exerts less of a load than if the car is on the street, so the test was run to a higher RPM.

Don't quote me on that tho....my memory certainly ain't what it used to be.

Salvage is right, dyno is lot less of a load than the street
