I want to take my car to a Mustang Dyno, but I have heard scary things that can happen while on that machine.. I don't know what to expect??... Any advice pros/cons

Any dyno can take an engine or car up to its limit and past it if not careful. :(

The Mustang dyno has no more or less ability to destroy an engine than any other brand?

We use a chassis dyno for tuning, not to generate a specific number and all dynos are different, and "calibrations" can and will vary depending on the machine and operator to give different results.

Since you can monitor many critical values during a dyno run, this gives you the data needed to develop "safe" HP, and not do damage on the way to your goal! :)

^^^Exactly! The track can tear up a car too, but you at least get data to see if changes you make increase or decrease hp/torque so you know what direction you are going. MPH at the track will tell you much the same though, but the controlled environment of a dyno and ability to repeat runs frequently is nice. I have no faith in the numbers they generate though; just if they go up or down from where you start.
