Just when i thought i had it figured out, and a parts list made for the conversion.... i happen to stop by the ONLY station in a 50 mile radius that carries it here in DE (but only 10 from my house) i see the price of $3.85. say it aint so! My last visit there was in the spring and it was priced the same?... So, i amble on in and find the manager to quiz him regarding this and mention that the national average is $2.45,or so. He advised me that the refinery, in lower DE, that sells it to him, says He is the only distributor in the area and that the price is skewed by that fact....he went on to paint a few different scenarios as to what he thinks... and that He pays 3.70 for it. Fact is... at the end of the day, it will be 3.85, Period. I think local 93 octane is about the same. I guess it's still worth the benefits...although it does take one of the best elements out.

Damn that sucks... Still not as crazy expensive as equally high octane fuels (race fuel) out there, so still good price for the octane rating. I hope E85 stays around and stays moderately priced, considering I just bought an 87 that is built to run on it. Luckily here in CA there are a handful of E85 stations, one just over 2 miles from my house.

there is a fair number of stations with it around here. But just north of here there are 2 stations almost across the street from each other, one is almost 1.00 cheaper than the other.

(the expensive one is Shell) I saw another shell station with a "high" price the other day.

Luckily its relatively easy to find around here.

Hey Bob, I hear trackside tuning was included with Scott's car. When you want to come out to CA? :)

Just kidding, hope all is well, and looking forward to the finalized CNP/COP box coming available!

Well, not "included"........ but I can be bought....

$2.99 here in "corn country".....I spoke with a station owner about it last month and he said that as long as the government subsidies hold out, he'll continue to carry it. If the government stops backing it, all bets are off. There is an ethanol plant 2 miles from my home and many of the local farmers are balls deep with them as far as selling directly to them on contract. Good farmland is bringing $10K an acre and more due, in part, to the proximity of ethanol producers.

Down state DE is major corn crop area...always has been. I suppose thats why they built the refinery....just cant imagine why the home state cant get a break? He mentioned that he (and BP) have the state contract and i assume~ maybe why he gets no break from paying the $3.70 from the refinery. (if i believe him) Some politics at play no doubt! Oh well,my luck. Been wavering back and forth about the change now. By most accounts it does seem to be just the ticket. I hope i can sqeeze a few more * of timing. Stuck at 19*... or i gets some transitional KR.

$2.32 for E-85 here in North Branch, MN...regular is $3.22 Here in the town I live in E-85 has always maintained to be 75-80cents cheaper than regular...sorry to hear what you gotta pay...ouch!
