ethanol is quite good at pulling heat. Not as good as methanol but still good. Injector placement is where I found some gains. With the series 2 3800 L67 the original injector placement was in the heads. I moved them to the manifold and netted a 50hp gain with no other changes. I put it down to better atomization and extra time to pull heat. So I can see a non intercooled car working ok with injectors placed just after the turbo. Its a weight vs hp thing imo.
