ECM 86 upgrade

I could only find a 1986 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS CIERA S But the ECM Didn't have the 1227148 instead 1227153. I got it anyway 25$ (which i can return with the extra 5) So i just needed to know if this will work or not? was on a 3.8 FI but the ECM also has Remanufactured on it. Well any help would be nice< I really want to order my TTCHIP Already to go with my venom injectors

I am almost sure it has to be a 1227148 ECM. Right year, the Cutless must have been a 2.8/3.0 liter engine. Maybe someone can confirm that the 1227153 ECM will work...

Nope... will not work... must be a 1227148.... sorry..

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!! IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha i knew it !!!!!!!!!!!had doubt i had doubt but my faith made me give it a shot, oh well. Anyone can confirm this? Thanks for the fast rely btw:wink:. Well im gonna order my TT chip should get my injectors soon(days) Dang i was happy to find a 86 ANYTING. they are crushing anything that doesn't move in the junkyard..........haha I remember going back in early 2000's they had novas, cameros, firebirds, monet carlos, G BODYS!!!!!! now nothing !!!!!!! ford fans yes,327 FPR yes. Well that was one junkyard anyway. Couldn't got to anywhere else, rain.

I'm not sure that list is complete either.... I think the early 90's olds calais used the 7148 also.. have fun in the boneyards!
