ECM update?

Curious if there is any upgrades possible to a stock ecm. Just want it to be the best it can be. I run a 5.7 TT chip. The ecm is maybe 10 years old. I see drivers being changed for high/low impedance injectors which bring the question if there is any advantages to be had ,or general ecm upgrades ,thanks.

other than the powerlogger, there are no modifications other than the low impedance drivers that are done to the ECM's.

The driver mod is necessary for the large injectors due their low impedance.

Maybe i dont fully understand the range and scope of a "drivers function...but could a new one out perform the old stocker in some way? Can a driver get lazy?
